BMLCommM19791009MINUTES OF THE BIG MUSKEGO-BASS BAY REHAB. & PROTECTION BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING held on October 9, 1979. The meeting was called to order at 9:30 P.M., by Chairman Jerome Gottfried with all Board of Commissioners present. Also present Deputy Officers Estel Ellery, Gilbert Heinrich and Craig Lawdanski. The Chairman stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss Specifications fo r the Feasibility Study and that he had hoped that the study would have been received from the state, however it had not. He reviewed the procedures to follow after receipt ?9rthe report such as state requirements as to the bidding out qualified engineering firms, minimum numbers, procedures of interviewing, etc. He further stated that he wo uld again contact the state so that the monitoring could be started as soon as possible due to fall and spring rains. A suggestion was made to those deputy officers present that they elect their own chairman and secretary and that their committee meet at least once per month. Mr. Ellery said that he felt that the Board of Commissioners should authorize the deputy commissioners to expend monies for phamphlets and materials beneficial to them. The chairman said that no monies had been budgeted for that purpose and suggested that if Mr. Ellery had any materials he felt beneficial to all deputy officers, that they. could be shared, as the Little Muskego Rehab. District Advisory Board had been in existence for several years and found no special needs to purchase materials the city did not have. It was also noted that secretarial help would be provided by the city clerk's office for writing of minutes, notification of meetings, etc. Mr. Ellery said that their committee had been contacted as to right-of-ways and offers for same was made by Alvin Simon and Julius Caesar. He also said that he felt the Klenz would not be a suitable site because it is located on Bass Bay and felt that it should be located on the Big Lake.
