CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Chiaverotti called the quarterly meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Wolfe, Hammel, Borgman, Kapusta, Engelhardt, Kubacki and
Madden. Also present: Deputy Commissioners Burmeister and Hoeppner, City Attorney
Warchol and Deputy Clerk Blenski.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
The Deputy Clerk stated that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting
law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES – June 26, 2018
Commissioner Kubacki moved to approve. Commissioner Madden seconded; motion
carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Deputy Commissioners' Update - Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant
Growth, Fish and Wildlife
Deputy Commissioner Greg Burmeister reported the following:
Water levels are normal. There is water coming from Little Muskego Lake.
The algae problem has resolved itself.
Weeds continue to be an issue. An aggressive program will be needed in spring to
deal with them. Starry stonewort is prevalent; it will most likely continue to get worse.
Bogs are on the move. The Durham launch has been closed as a result. That launch
was unusable for at least half the season. The launch at Holz Drive has also been
affected.
Fishing activity has been light. Duck hunting is in full swing.
Election of Secretary and Treasurer
Commissioner Madden made a motion to elect Jill Blenski as Secretary and
Sharon Mueller as Treasurer for the Lake District. Commissioner Kubacki
seconded; motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Madden moved to adjourn at 6:06 p.m. Commissioner Kubacki
seconded; motion carried.
