CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Chiaverotti called the quarterly meeting to order at 6:48 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Wolfe, Hammel, Borgman, Kapusta, Engelhardt, Kubacki and
Madden. Also present: City Attorney Warchol, Finance and Administration Director Mueller,
Deputy Commissioners Pilak and Hoeppner.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
Director Mueller stated that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETING – December 13, 2016
Commissioner Madden made a motion to approve. Commissioner Engelhardt
seconded; motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Deputy Commissioners' Update - Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant Growth,
Fish and Wildlife
Mr. Pilak reported the following:
Rapid ice melt, areas of open water reported
Excellent fishing and water quality
Upcoming projects – investigate accelerated weed growth near landfill sites as well as
education regarding weed eradication
Dike update – DNR project
Carp population
Status of Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area - Land Acquisition by DNR
Nothing new to report.
NEW BUSINESS
Authorize Execution of DNR Chemical Aquatic Plant Control Application and Permit
Commissioner Engelhardt moved to approve. Commissioner Madden seconded;
motion carried.
Approve Agreement with Marine Biochemists to Conduct Aquatic Plant Control Services and
Authorize Execution
Commissioner Hammel moved to approve. Commissioner Madden seconded; motion
carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Madden made a motion to adjourn at 6:58 p.m. Commissioner
Engelhardt seconded; motion carried.
