OLD BUSINESS
Deputy Commissioners' Update -
Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant Growth, Fish and Wildlife
Mr. Zagar was present on behalf of the Deputy Commissioners who could not be
present. He reported the following:
• Lake ice is the thickest in years.
• Fishing has been really good.
• There are rumors that there will be a draw down of the lake, which is not true.
• A bald eagle was seen a few days ago.
Status of Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area Land Acquisition by DNR
Mr. Zagar stated that the DNR may potentially want to partner with the lake district to
share costs for some future land acquisitions. This has been done in the past.
NEW BUSINESS
Placement of Anchors for Debris Barriers
Mr. Zagar stated that cattail debris barriers were installed last year with metal poles.
The anchoring proved to be inadequate. Mr. Zagar believes a contractor needs to be
hired to professionally replace the four concrete anchors. He was not sure what the
total cost would be. Mr. Zagar was directed to obtain more information regarding the
actual cost that can be presented to the Commissioners in the future.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Snead moved to adjourn at 7:39 p.m. Commissioner Borgman
seconded; motion carried.
