OLD BUSINESS
1. Deputy Commissioners Update — Conservation/Urban Forester Zagar
reported that a remote camera will be set up to observe Osprey nesting. The
thick ice conditions did cause a winter fish kill on the lake. There are areas
where adequate oxygen levels are present to sustain a fish population in the
lake. The oxygen levels are being monitored.
Deputy Commissioner Kies reported that he had attended the Wisconsin
Association of Lakes Conference, which was very good.
2. Status of Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area — Land Acquisition by DNR. The
DNR is still working on land acquisition. There was no new information to report.

1. Authorization for Chairman (Mayor) to sign DNR permit application for up to
35 acres of chemical weed treatments in 2009 — Motion by Borgman, second
by Schneider to authorized the Mayor to sign a 2009 DNR permit
application for chemical weed treatment of up to 35 acres on Big Muskego
Lake; motion carried.
