AWARD OF BID
2020 Road Improvement Program
WHEREAS, The City advertised for bids for the 2020 Road Improvement Program and the
following bids were received:
Contractor Total Base Bid Total Mandatory Alternate Bids
(See Attached Summary for Details)
Payne & Dolan, Inc. $320,642.25 $544,669.30
Wolf Paving $350,627.50 $612,971.50
Stark Pavement Corp. $324,760.00 $539,084.00
Asphalt Contractors $323,950.00 $569,063.25
WHEREAS, The Public Works and Development Director reviewed the bids and recommends
that the base bid be accepted as submitted by Payne & Dolan, Inc. in the amount of
$320,642.25; and
WHEREAS, The Public Works and Development Director is also recommending that the
Mandatory Alternate Bid in the amount of $331,488.10 submitted by Payne & Dolan, Inc. for
Hillendale Drive only be accepted; and
WHEREAS, Based upon the above, the final recommendation is that the bid for the 2020 Road
Improvement Program be awarded to Payne & Dolan, Inc. in the total amount of $652,130.35.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego does
hereby accept the bids submitted by Payne & Dolan, Inc. in the amount of $652,130.35.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are authorized to sign the
contract in the name of the City and the City Attorney is authorized to make substantive
changes to the contract as may be necessary in order to preserve the general intent thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor is authorized to sign such substantive changes
made by the City Attorney.
