APPROVAL OF BUILDING SITE AND OPERATION PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE MUSKEGO
VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY LOCATED IN THE SW ¼ OF SECTION 29
(W195 S10030 RACINE AVENUE / TAX KEY NO. 2276.999.004)
WHEREAS, On August 8, 2003 plans were submitted by Muskego Volunteer Fire Company for a
Building, Site and Operation Plan amendment to construct a training tower at the property located at
W195 S10030 Racine Avenue, and
WHEREAS, Said property is currently zoned R-1 Country Home District, and OIP Institution and Public
Service Overlay District, and said use is a permitted use by right, and
WHEREAS, The fire tower will measure 31.5 feet in total height, and fire towers may be exempted from
the height restrictions of the Zoning Code with the approval of the Plan Commission, and
WHEREAS, The proposed structure meets all bulk requirements of the zoning code, and
WHEREAS, Additional asphalt paving is proposed to provide vehicular access to the structure, and
WHEREAS, On-site stormwater management currently meets the requirements of Chapter 34 of the
Municipal Code, and the proposal may necessitate additional stormwater management measures, and
WHEREAS, The proposed facility will not require sanitary sewer of water services.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the Building, Site and
Operation Plan amendment submitted on August 8, 2003 by the Muskego Volunteer Fire Company for a
training tower at the property located at W195 S10030 Racine Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a height exception to the Zoning
Code for the proposed training tower.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the proposal shall be reviewed by the City Engineer for compliance
with Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code, and said compliance shall be achieved prior to the issuance of
building permits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and
that all aspect of this plan as they relate to landscape areas and drainage shall be maintained in
perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That if occupancy is requested prior to the completion of landscaping
and/or asphalting, a bond, letter of credit or cashiers check equal to twice the value of said costs must be
submitted to the Planning Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall
result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
