APPROVAL OF A 12’x81’ ACCESSORY STRUCTURE FOR SCHULTZ’S RESORT ROD AND GUN
CLUB PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE NE ¼ OF SECTION 14
(W143 S8025 SCHULTZ LANE / TAX KEY NO. 2213.982)
WHEREAS, On August 8, 2003 a site plan and construction information was submitted by Schultz’s
Resort Rod And Gun Club to construct a 12’ X 81’(972 square foot) open-air accessory structure at the
property located at W143 S8025 Schultz Lane, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned RS-2/OLS, Suburban Residence District with the Lakeshore Overlay,
and where said structure is a permitted accessory use and subject to Plan Commission review, and
WHEREAS, The proposed open-air shelter will replace the existing structure used for shooters on the
property, and
WHEREAS, The total square footage for accessory structures is limited to 2.0% of the total lot area and
contains 30 acres which would allow 26,136 square feet of total square footage of accessory buildings,
and
WHEREAS, Two (2) outbuildings currently existing on the property totaling 2,220 square feet, and
WHEREAS, The proposed structure meets all bulk requirements of the zoning code, and.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of a 12’ X 81’(972 square foot)
open-air accessory structure for the Schultz’s Resort Rod And Gun Club property located at W143 S8025
Schultz Lane.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building Department and
that all aspects of this plan as they relate to landscape areas and drainage shall be maintained in
perpetuity unless otherwise authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That if occupancy is requested prior to the completion of landscaping
and/or asphalting, a bond, letter of credit or cashiers check equal to twice the value of said costs must be
submitted to the Planning Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in this resolution shall
result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action, or both.
