APPROVAL TO A CONCEPTUAL AMENDMENT TO A CONDITIONAL USE GRANT
FOR UNITED AUTO BODY, INC., AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT S73 W16437
JANESVILLE ROAD
RESOLUTION #P.C. 130-98
WHEREAS, A Conceptual plan was submitted to amend an existing conditional use that
limits the sale of no more than 10 vehicles at the property located at S73 W16473 Janesville Road
to allow for an additional 75 vehicles by United Auto Body, Inc., and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-4, Highway Business, and whereas the existing use
is a permitted conditional use, and
WHEREAS, The petitioner proposes to seek an increase of 75 vehicles for sale, said cars
would be displayed on the west end of the parcel, and
WHEREAS, Said request represents a substantial change to the amount of vehicles
permitted for sale under the conditional use and would thus require a Public Hearing before the
Planning Commission.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approves of the conceptual
amendment to an existing conditional use for United Auto Body, to increase the amount of
vehicles for sale from 10 to a total of 85, subject to a Public Hearing and approval of a formal
building site and operation plan.
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That all vehicles awaiting repair must be
stored in the building or in the fenced in area. Thirty (30) vehicles will be allowed on the outside
lot. Conditional Use will be brought back to Plan Commission for review one year after
occupancy. As agreed by petitioner, there will be no display of outdoor streamers and banners.
