APPROVAL TO AMEND A MAIN IDENTIFICATION GROUND SIGN FOR SPEEDY
LUBE. AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT W187 S7825 LIONS PARK DRIVE
WHEREAS, Plans for a building, site and operation plan were approved by the Plan
Commission on April IS, 1997, under Resolution #64-97, and
WHEREAS, Said approval included a ground monument sign totaling 72 square feet of
display area, with a removable letters reader board, and
WHEREAS, On December 19, 1997, said petitioner requested to change the sign reader
board from removable letters board, to an electronic message board, and
WHEREAS, The property is zoned B-2, Local Service Center and contains a Conditional
Use, and said request for an electronic message board is permitted under the Sign Ordinance,
however, is considered a substantial change to the sign package approved under Resolution #P.C.
64-97, requiring Plan Commission approval.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Plan Commission approve of an amendment
to the signage approved under Resolution #P.C. 64-97, to allow for an electronic reader board,
and said sign must conform to all the requirements of the Sign Ordinance, under Section 6.09 of
the Zoning Code, including that all messages displayed be controlled intermittent or vertically
scrolling lights that form a one line message. e
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of said plans be kept on file in the Building
Department and that all aspect of this plan shall be maintained in perpetuity unless otherwise
authorized by the Plan Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That failure to comply with the approval contained in
this resolution shall result in the imposition of fines of $100 per day, the initiation of legal action,
or both.
