Betty's Woods
In memory of Betty Czarapata, the City of Muske go
Common Council has resolved to name this woodlot
"Betty's Woods." Through volunteer work and
community education, Betty devoted much of her
life to the control of invasive plants in the natural
landscapes of Muske go and southeastern Wisconsin.
Betty authored two books on identification and
control of invasive plants that threaten the biological
diversity of our forests, wetlands, and prairies. The
City of Muskego is committed to continue control
efforts that Betty initiated within these woods and
other lands in our community.
