CCR2003121. AMENDED COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO RESOLUTION #121-2003 RECOMMENDATION TO WAUKESHA COUNTY FOR JANESVILLE ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT . WHEREAS, Waukesha County is in the process of reconstructing Janesville Road (CTH "L") from the entrance of Golden Country Estates to College Ave, and WHEREAS, the City of Muskego in conjunction with the adopted Design Guide for the Tess Corners area and the creation of a CDA District is doing a City water project, and WHEREAS, the City of Muskego Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development has recommended the burial of overhead wires and to review funding opportunities for individual connections, and WHEREAS, the Mayor's Task Force has recommended decorative lighting installed on the narrow part of the right away between St. Paul's Church and Durham Dr, and WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee of the City of Muskego has agreed to have Waukesha County cul-de-sac Durham Drive at the intersection Janesville Road, and . WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Committee is agreeing to the burying of the overhead electric and telephone utilities, and WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee is agreeing to the installation of streetscaping, and WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee is agreeing to participate in the burying of electrical wiring for decorative street lighting, and WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee is agreeing to the installation of paved pedestrian trails along Janesville Road, and WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee is agreeing to the installation of decorative concrete surface treatments at the intersections of Tess Corners Drive/Janesville Road and Woodland Place/Janesville Road, and WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee is agreeing to fund the City's proportionate share of the construction costs associated with the reconstruction. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Works Committee, and Mayors Task Force on Economic Development does hereby recommend to Waukesha County to be included as part of the Janesville Road reconstruction project the installation of decorative street lighting, burial of . overhead electric and telephone utilities, the cul-de-sac of Durham Drive, the installation of Reso. #121-2003 Page 2 paved pedestrian paths, the installation of concrete surface treatments and the installation of . streetscaping.
