AWARD OF BID
NORTH CAPE ROAD-RYAN ROAD TO BOXHORN DRIVE SANITARY SEWER
AND VALLEY GREEN PUMP STATION (MSS-1-99)
WHEREAS, The City advertised for bids for the North Cape Road-Ryan Road to Boxhorn Drive
Sanitary Sewer and Valley Green Pump Station Project and the following bids were received:
Underground Pipeline $675,212.75
Rawson Contractors $691,728.50
Advanced Sewer and Water $691,412.00
Mainline Sewer and Water $749,889.00
Globe Contractors $695,122.00
United Sewer and Water $718,956.00
Super Excavators $720,728.00
WHEREAS, The City Engineers have reviewed the bids and recommend that the low bid
submitted by Underground Pipeline be rejected due to deficiencies contained in the bidding
documents submitted by said bidder; and
0 WHEREAS, The City Engineers have recommended that the bid submitted by Advanced Sewer
and Water in the amount of $691,412 be accepted with a net reduction of $9,730 for Mandatory
Alternate ltem MA-I and an addition of $1.00 for Bid Item 26 for a total of $681,683 subject to
DNR and MMSD approvals; and
WHEREAS, The Public Utilities Committee has reviewed the bids and recommendation of the
City Engineers and recommends acceptance of the bid submitted by Advanced Sewer and Water
in the amount of $691,412 with a net reduction of $9,730 for Mandatory Alternate Item MA-I
and an addition of $1.00 for Bid Item 26 for a total of $681,683 subject to DNR and MMSD
approvals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Public Utilities Committee, does hereby accept the bid of
Advanced Sewer and Water in the amount of $691,412 with a net reduction of $9,730 for
Mandatory Alternate Item MA-1 and an addition of $1.00 for Bid Item 26 for a total of $681,683
for the North Cape Road-Ryan Road to Boxhorn Drive Sanitary Sewer and Valley Green Pump
Station Project contingent upon acquisition of all properties necessary to complete the project
and contingent upon all award and contract documents being approved by the Mayor and receipt
of DNR and MMSD approvals.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are hereby authorized to
sign the necessary documents in the name of the City and are further authorized to sign any 0 changes at their discretion upon the recommendation of the City Engineers.
