RECOGNITION OF 29 YEARS OF SERVICE
JAMES A. BUDISH - MUSKEG0 POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, JAMES A. BUDISH began working as a patrol officer for the City of
Muskego Police Department on November 1, 1971, and
WHEREAS, on November 14, 1973, OFFICER JIM BUDISH received a Department
commendation for saving the life of a man who had suffered a stroke while hunting on
Big Muskego Lake; and
WHEREAS, on November 1, 1978 OFFICER JIM BUDISH was appointed to the position
of InvestigatorNuvenile Officer In that capacity he established an exemplary
relationship for the Muskego Police Department with the MuskegolNorway School
District, teachers, administrators, and most importantly, the students, and thereby greatly
aided the Muskego Police Department in carrying out its mission; and
WHEREAS, INVESTIGATOR JIM BUDISH was the 1984 recipient of the Waukesha
County Bar Association Liberty Bell Award in recognition of his contribution to
community services, promoting a better understanding of government, and respect for
the law and the courts; and
WHEREAS, on April 7, 1986 JIM BUDISH was promoted to the rank of Detective
Sergeant, requiring him to conduct and supervise complex criminal investigations; and
WHEREAS, on May 11, 1998, JIM BUDISH was promoted to Detective Lieutenant
commensurate with his responsibilities in our community policing efforts, particularly in
our schools with the Liaison Program; and
WHEREAS, DETECTIVE LIEUTENANT JIM BUDISH, has received many
commendations from citizens and colleagues during his career for the professional
service he has given to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of
Muskego does hereby recognize and appreciate the 29 years of service DETECTIVE
LIEUTENANT JAMES A. BUDISH has provided to the City of Muskego.
