RESOLUTION TO RECLASSIFY NONREPRESENTED
PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER I and I1 POSITIONS
WHEREAS, The Parks & Recreation Director has requested that the attached job descriptions
and points for the Parks Maintenance Worker I and Parks Maintenance Worker I1 positions be
reviewed and reclassified as follows:

WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the position descriptions and recommended
the points and pay ranges as stated above without any hourly salary adjustments for either
position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve of the job descriptions
and reclassification of points and pay ranges for the Parks Maintenance Worker 1 and I1 positions
as detailed above effective upon adoption of this Resolution.

Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to perform equipmentivehicle maintenance tasks. directs seasonal Parks maintenance
employees and perform grounds maintenance hsks. The work is performed under the direction of the Parks
Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Performs scheduled vehicle and equipment maintenance tasks including changing tires, oil and filters; replacing
bearings, rollers, casters, bells, hoses, wiper blades, light bulbs, electrical componenrs, injection pumps. carburetors,
hydraulic system componenls and controls; sharpens blades; lubricates moving pans; washes equipment and
machinery: waxes vehicles.
Determines needs for major repairs. Coordinates contract repair work for vehicles. equipment and machinery.
Develops maintenance schedules and coordinates maintenance with users. Determines warranty work and
coordjnares repairs with dealers and repair contractors
Recommends equipmentivehicle replacement and toolirepair equipment purchases.
Orders, pans, supplies and marerials.
Performs basic metal weldingkutting and fabricarion.
Directs seasonal employees. .Assigns mks. Determines equipment, supplies and materials needed forjob. Insuucls
employees in proper equipment use.
Plows snow. removes ice from walks: roads, and steps.
Additional Tasks and Responsibilities
of this position and may also be performed by other unit members.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
High school diploma or equivalent, vocationaVtechnical training in vehicleismall engine maintenanceirepair, three
to five years mechanical repair experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent
knowledge, skills. and abilities. Valid motor vehicle operator's license and pesticide applicator's license required.
