CCR1996241COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO RESOLUTION #241-96 CITY OF MUSKEGO AND MUSKEGO WOMAN'S CLUB APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FOR USE OF FACILITIES BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve the attached Agreement between the City of Muskego and Muskego Woman's Club for use of City Hall/Library facilities commencing January 1, 1997. Resolution #241-96 which was adopted by the Common Council of the 10/96 jmb AGREEMENT 0 WHEREAS, the City of Muskeqo hereinafter referred to as "Citv" and the Muskego woman's ClGb, a Wisconsin nonprofit corporation hereinafter referred to as "Club" wish to enter an Agreement whereby the Club would be guaranteed use of a certain room or rooms with City Hall at certain time periods. WHEREAS, the Club has to this date contributed $42,154.25 to the City for the purchase and remodeling of various items, most Hall. specifically in the community room (Muskego Room), with the City NOW, THEREFORE, for valuable consideration acknowledged by both parties it is agreed as follows: 1. On or before January 1, 1997 the City acknowledges the past ~~ ~ contribution as consideration of this Agreement. 2. That the community room, known as the Muskego Room, in City Hall is hereby reserved for the use of the Club on the second Monday of each month from September through May from commencing upon January 1 of 1997. If official business of 6:30 P.M. to 11:OO P.M. for a period of ten years the governing body precludes the use of the Muskego Room by the Club on said day and time, the City agrees to allow the Club to use the Wisconsin Room if available. The City is to give the Club seven-day notification of the room change. 3. That said community room shall be available for the use of City for special events of the Club which may be held in the Club on ninety (90) days prior written notice to the City Hall in accordance with policies of the City Hall then in effect as to use of said facilities if no other group has previously booked said facility. That the City is obligated under this paragraph to reserve said facility no more than five extra days per calendar year. 4. For the same period the Club shall have the use of a smaller room, such as the Wisconsin Room, in the City Hall on the fourth Monday of each month from 7:OO P.M. to 1O:OO P.M. The use of that room would be for nine times from September through May. 5. That the club shall have use of a cabinet with key locks in the community room the size of which is 16 1/2 feet of the period of this Agreement. lower cabinet and 8 1/2 feet of the upper cabinet, during Aareement 6. That from time to time the City may have policies regarding the use of said rooms in City Hall by civic organizations; that all of said policies shall apply to the Club as they apply to any other civic organization. 7. This Agreement shall terminate prior to the time period stated above upon the happening of any of the following events : A. The City of Muskego is no longer the owner of the City Hall, or B. The Muskego Woman's Club is dissolved, or C. The Muskego Woman's Club fails to hold meetings on the second Monday of each month September through May or meetings held on the fourth Monday of each month in the smaller rooms.
