BILLY J. MEEKS
WHEREAS, BILLY J. MEEKS, better known as Bill, began
working as a police officer for the City of Muskego on
February 15, 1971; and
WHEREAS, Bill graduated from the Waukesha County Police
Recruit Academy on May 7, 1971, and during 1973, Bill
Police Department's artist accurately sketching many
received police artist training and became the Muskego
departments; Bill served as a volunteer member of the
suspects for the Department as well as other area
Police Department's Citizen Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, on June 5, 1978, Bill was promoted to the
position of Juvenile Officer by Chief Kraus and on
November 20, 1978, Bill was promoted to Patrol Sergeant
by Chief Scholz and has supervised officers on all of our
teams; in July of 1978, Bill was certified as a Defensive
Tactics instructor for the State of Wisconsin and has
trained officers from all areas of Wisconsin in these
skills; and
WHEREAS, from 1982 until 1985, Bill was the Crisis Team
Department's Tactical Team; and
leader responsible for the training and deployment of the
WHEREAS, Bill has been a dedicated member of the City of
Muskego Police Department and has represented the City of
Muskego in an exemplary manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of
the 25 years of dedicated service provided by Billy J.
the City of Muskego does hereby recognize and appreciate
Meeks to the people of the City of Muskego.
