RESOLUTION #22-92
AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF THE 1992 LABOR AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE MUSKEGO POLICE ASSOCIATION
AND THE CITY OF MUSKEGO
WHEREAS, a settlement has been reached between the negotiators
for the City of Muskego and the negotiators for the Muskego
Police Association; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Muskego Police Association have
ratified the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the agreement and
recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance
Committee, does hereby approve the attached Settlement Agreement
between the Muskego Police Association and the City of Muskego
for the period of January 1, 1992 through December 31, 1992.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute the amended labor agreement.

ARTICLE V - WAGES
Section 1
Increase all salary categories by 5%,

ARTICLE VI - VACATIONS

Paragraph 2 to read as Eollows, "During the annual seniority vacation
picks, the maximum vacation period which may be requested shall be two
(2) weeks, or fourteen (14) days, including regular days Additional
periods may be requested off after the seniority pick referred to above
is completed. Vacation selection after the seniority pick outlined
above, including single OK multiple day vacations, shall be on a
first-come, first-serve basis subject to the approval of the Chief or
his designee and in keeping with the necessary staffing requirements.
A request for a vacation period less than the empl.oyees' scheduled duty
week may not be made more than thirty (30) days prior to the requested
day(s) off.
ARTICLE VI1 - HEALTH AND WELFARE
Health Insurance
Paragraph 1 - They City agrees to pay up to the cost of PrimeCare
Plus Insurance premium. In the event that the above insurance plan is
no longer available during the term oE this Agreement, the parties
shall meet and confer within ten (10) days following the notice of the
termination of said option to negotiate regarding replacement coverage.
Paragraph 3 - A retired employee (or widow or widower) may elect to
leave their accumulated sick pay with the City to apply toward payment
of monthly health insurance premiums The amount of money in the fund
shall have interest calculate on December 31st, with the rate of
interest being equal to the interest rate determined by the City
auditor, who shall determine the interest earned on City investments
for that calendar year This interest amount shall be applied
retroactively for the entire year. The City shall provide the employee
with a printout February 1st oE each year identifying the exact amount
of money available in the fund The retired employee may elect to

It On January 1, 1992, the City agrees to deposit into this fund the
value of one sick day for each employee. with this day being subtracted
the calendar year, they shall have a sick leave day subtracted from
from each employee's sick leave account For employees hired during
their sick leave account on December 31, 1992, with the value of this
day being added to the fund.
ARTICLE XVII - TERMINATION
Expires December 31, 1992
The agreement reached between the respective bargaining units, shall
not be binding until the agreement has been ratified by the Muskego
Common Council. This agreement was ratified by members of the
Muskego Police Association, Inc. on Monday, 01-06-92,
