RESOLUTION AS TO GUIDELINES FOR PROCEDURES
FOR THE APPLICATION OF WASTEWATER RESIDUE
ON AGRICULTURAL LANDS
WHEREAS, Resolution 11122-76 adopted guidelines for procedures for
the application of wastewater residue on agricultural lands, and
WHEREAS, the Public Welfare Committee has recommended a change in
the permit fee.
NOW, THEREFOKE, BE IT KESULVED that the Common Council of the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Public Welfare
Committee, does hereby amend 7. of the guidelines for procedures
for the application of wastewater residue on agricultural lands
to read as follows:
7. There shall be a $100.00 permit fee plus $5.00 per acre.

RECOMNENDED PROCEDURES FOR THE
The following procedures are recommended for the application of

1. The contractor shall review the site as its suitability to all

c) Location of existing dwellings and location of public and

2. The contractor shall provide the necessary informatlon to UNR
in order for the DNR to evaluate the necessary measures to
prevent trucking of sludge and/or mud on public streets.
3. The contractor shall haul the sludge to the site in a closed
tank truck and shall take the necessary measures to prevent
trucking of sludge and/or mud on public streets.
4. The contractor shall apply the severage sludge to the sol1 by
one of the following methods:
a) Hydraulically injecting the sludge into the soil.

spreading is used, the site must be turned over

that no sludge shall remaln on the soil for more than one

5. Prior to the contractor applying the sludge to the site, the
contractor shall provide the follovlng Lnformatlon to the
Planning and Development Department:
a) Name and address of contractor.
b) Name and address of site ovner.
c) Location of site.
d) Size of site.
e) The date or dates the site vi11 be used for sludge
application.
f) Method of sludge application.
g) Application rate to be used and lf this rate has been
approved by the ONR.
h) Confirm that the site has been approved by DNR giving name
of DNR staff granting approval.
6. Permlt vilL be llmlted to a one (1) year period.
7. There shall be a $25.00 minimum permit fee.
