BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to the above, a 1% increase
shall become effective at 11:59 P.M. on 12/31/86.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for those employees eligible for the
City’s pension plan, the contribution for each employee shall be 59
cents per hour in 1985 and 62 cents per hour in 1986.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Assessor and Clerk shall be provided
with $1,000 annually in lieu of pension benefits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above employees shall have the
following health insurance options:
“The parties agree that for the first year of this Agreement,
health insurance coverage, the amount of $213.35 per month
the City shall contribute, as a maximum, towards the cost of
towards the cost of family coverage, and $82.34 per month
herein above shall be adjusted on January 1, 1986, based upon
towards the cost of single coverage. These amounts contained
the higher rate of either the Good Samaritan HMO with
prescription rider, or the Maxicare with prescription rider
plans. The City agrees further to make available to employees
so desiring to participate, the option of either participation
Cross/Blue Shield in their Compcare Program, with a prescription
in a health maintenance organization as provided for by Blue
with a prescription rider; or Maxicare with a prescription
rider, or the Good Samaritan Health Maintenance Organization,
rider; or, as an alternative to the health maintenance
organization, the same hospital and surgical insurance,
during the term of this Agreement as was in effect and provided
including major medical, outpatient and diagnostic coverage,
by Blue Cross/Blue Shield on December 31, 1983. The cost of any
of the above insurance options over and above the amounts set
forth in this Agreement as the City’s contribution shall be the

responsibility of the individual employee. In the event that
during the term of this Agreement, the parties shall meet and
confer within ten (10) days following the notice of the
termination of said option to negotiate regarding replacement
