CCR1985013RESOLUTION #13-85 RESOLUTION AS TO INTENT OF THE CITY TO ESTABLISH A WATER UTILITY e WHEREAS, the City of Muskego is considering an expansion of the Industrial Park, and WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City, in connection with said expansion, establish a Water Utility to service the additional customers which would be added by the expansion of the Industrial Park, and WHEREAS, the City intends to install the water system as part of a TIF project, which must be completed by December 31, 1985, and WHEREAS, the City as a whole would be benefited by the establishment of such a Water Utility, and WHEREAS, the City has the opportunity to receive substantial contributions in aid of construction from private developers at this time, and WHEREAS, basic engineering studies have been performed by the City Engineers which indicate that to establish such a Utility would cost approximately $920,000 at this time, of which approximately $500,000 would be received as contribution in aid of construction, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to hold a Referendum as to whether or not the City should establish a Water Utility. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby authorize the Mayor and Clerk to proceed to take all steps necessary to establish a Referendum pursuant to State Statute 66.065 as to whether or not the City should proceed with the establishment of a Water Utility. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all necessary steps shall be taken to proceed with the establishment of such Utility with the Wisconsin Public Service Coynission. DATED THIS DAY OF 9 1985. Mayor Wayne G.
