APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MUSKEG0
AND THE MOTOROLA CORPORATION FOR NEW COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, it has been proposed by the Chief of Police that it
would be advantageous for his department and the city to have
a new communication system, and
WllEREAS, the Motorola Corporutlon hus proposcd Lhal i I' Lhc
new equipment would be purchrraed after May 28, 1982, the cost
would be $122,672.75 plus the installation cost of $8,925, or
a total of $131,597.75, and
WHEREAS, the Motorola Corporation has further proposed that
if the equipment were purchased prior to May 28, 1982, the
total cost would be $116,877.02 or a savings of $14,720.73, and
WHEREAS, funds for this expenditure would be available from
TIF District No. Seven, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended approval of
this expenditure,
THEHEYOHE, Uti IT RESOLVED that the Common Council 01 the
City of Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance
Committee, does hereby authorize the expenditure of $116,877.02.
for the installation of a new communication system to be pur-
chased from the Motorola Corporation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds for the purchase of this
equipment will be taken from TIF District No. Seven.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the alternate proposal by the
Motorola Corporation to equip the emergency operating center,
with equipment, be accepted. The acceptance of the alternate
system would mean the Installation of $4,075.00 worth of
equipment plus saving the cost of removal and re-installation of

the old console for 63,805.00, or a total savings to the city
Of $7,980.00.
