DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO DRAFT
ORDINANCE FOR REZONING OF ST. PAULS
CHURCH PRaPERTY
WHEREAS, St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church has petitioned
the City of Muskego to rezone certain properties owned by them
in Section 2 from RS2 to RS2 OIP, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission, following a public hearing before
the Common Council, has recognized that St. Pauls has owned
the property for many years and has contemplated the use of all
the property for institutional purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has further recognized that in
the event the owners of the property plan to use the area for
purposes other than church or school there would be required
the granting of a conditional use by the Plan Commission, and
WHEREAS, the Plan Conmission is of the opinion that the
objections from the abutting property owners involves future
planning by the city for the use of a portion of the property
for drainage purposes and in no way relates to the proposed
zoning change,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby direct the City Attorney to draft the
necessary implementing ordinance to rezone all property owned
by St. Paul's Church located in Section 2 from RS2 to RS2 with an
OIP Overlay (Institutional and Public Service).
