ACCEPTANCE OF LOW BID FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION
OF WOODS ROAD FROM RACINE AVENUE To
LANNON DRIVE
WHEREAS, bids have been advertised for the reconstruction of
Woods Road from Racine Avenue to Lannon Drive, and
WHEREAS, the following bids have been received:

WHEREAS, it has been recornended by the Consulting Engineers
Ruekert 6 Mielke and the Public Works Counnittee that the low
bid of DeBack Grading in the amount of $28,590.00 for Item No. 1
and $12,500.00 for Item No. 2 be accepted,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City
of Muskego does hereby accept the low bid of DeBack Grading in
the amount of $28,590.00 for Item No. 1 and $12,500.00 for
Item No. 2 for the reconstruction of Woods Road from Racine
Avenue to Lannon Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute the necessary documents in the name of
the city subject to the approval by the City Attorney.

NOTICE OF BOND SALE
City of Muskego, Wisconsin * Until October 12, 1971, at 8:OO o'clock P.M., C.S.T., sealed
bids only will be received for an issue of $1,080,000 Special Assessment
B Bonds of the City of Muskego, Waukesha County, Wisconsin. Bids will
be received and publicly announced in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Muskego, Wisconsin, and should be directed to the City Clerk and plainly
marked "Bid for Bonds." A meeting of the Common Council will be held
at said time for the purpose of taking action on such bids as may be
received.
The Bonds will be dated November 1, 1971, be in the denomination
e of $5,000 each or such multiple thereof as may be selected by the
successful bidder, and will mature serially on May 1 of each of the
years as follows:
$100,000 in the years 1972 through 1980;
180,000 in the year 1981.
Said bonds constitute the special obligation of the issuer and are
issued to anticipate the collection of special assessments payable in
installments heretofore levied to construct sanitary sewers in the City,
which have been area grouped for the purposes of this financing.
The Bonds are to be payable as to principal and interest at a bank
0 or trust company selected by the successful bidder and approved by the
City and will be issued in bearer form with interest coupons, payable
May 1, 1972 and semiannually thereafter on November 1 and May 1. Bonds
maturing in the years 1979 through 1981 will be subject to call and
prior payment on May 1, 1975 or any interest payment date thereafter
at par plus accrued interest.
Bids will be received on an interest rate basis in integral multi-
ples of one-eighth (1/8) or one-tenth (1/10) of one per cent (l%), not
exceeding, however, four different interest, rates, and not exceeding
eight per cent (8%) per annum. The repetition of a rate on nonconsecutive
maturities will be considered a different rate. The difference between
the highest and lowest rate bid shall not exceed one and one-half per
cent (1-1/2%). All Bonds of the same maturity shall bear interest at e the same rate, and no bid for less than the principal amount of the bond
plus accrued interest to the date of delivery will be considered. Award
of the bonds will be made to the bid which results in the lowest net
interest cost to the City after deducting the amount of premium bid, if
any. No supplemental coupons shall be allowed.
All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check,
payable to the City in the amount of $21,600, to be forfeited as full
and complete liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails
or refuses to take up or pay for the bonds in accordance with his bid.
e Delivery within forty (40) days of sale (or thereafter at the
option of purchaser) will be made without cost to anywhere in the State
of Wisconsin, State of Minnesota, or to Chicago, Illinois, against payment
in federal or other immediately available funds subject to the unqualified
approving legal opinion of Quarles, Herriott, Clemons, Teschner & Noelke,
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The City shall bear the cost of said legal opinion
and the printed coupon bonds.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive any and all irregularities. Additional information and a copy of

The Bonds are issued to anticipate the collection of area-grouped
special assessments heretofore levied. The maximum rate of interest
to be borne by the Bonds is eight per cent (8%) per annum.
The purchaser will be furnished without cost the approving
legal opinion of Quarles, Herriott, Clemons, Teschner & Noelke,
printed coupon Bonds and the customary transcript of proceedings
authorizing these notes.
