CCR1971017RESOLUTION $117-71 (As Amended) PROVIDING FOR AN ADVISORY REFERENDUM FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MUNICIPAL BUILDING WHEREAS, the present City Hall is no longer able to provide the facilities for administrating the affairs of the City, and WHEREAS, said building is in need of extensive repair to provide for the safety of the public and the city employees, and WHEREAS, the present facilities being used by the Library are inadequate, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that a municipal building which would provide adequate facilities for the City Hall and Library for at least ten years would cost an amount not in excess of $200,000.00, and WHEREAS, the Common Council desires to determine the will of the people by holding an advisory referendum on April 6, 1971, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does hereby declare its intent to hold an advisory referendum to determine the will of the people regarding a proposal to build a municipal building which would house the City Hall and Library. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the referendum question shall read as follows : Should the City of Muskego build a Municipal Building to house a City Hall and Library at a cost not to exceed $200,000.00? BE IT FLIRTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to prepare the necessary ballots for said referendum. DATED THIS 9 th DAY OF February , 1971. ATTEST:
