RESOLUTION APPROVING SALARY & FRINGE
BENEFITS FOR MUSKEG0 POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS the basic provisions of the proposed contract between
the City and the Muskego Professional Policemen's Association
respecting salary and fringe benefits be approved; that upon
completion of the formal contract with the approval of the
City Attorney, the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute
the same on behalf of the City, and
WHEREAS Section I of Ordina,nce Q76, Establishing Salaries of
Police Dept. Dispatchers, which is in conflict with the above
contractherein being approved is hereby deleted.
WHEREAS the salary of the Chief of Police for the year 1969
is hereby established at $11,250.00. The fringe benefits
applicable to the Chief of Police shall only be those related
to retirement fund contribution, life and health insurance,
vacation, sick pay and holidays.

PURPOSE OF AGREEMEW. The purpose of this agreement is to assure

-:*. ki". mutual understanding between the parties as to wages, hours and working con-
ditions and conditions of employment of the members of the Association and
to assure high quality personnel and high standards of police performance
? for the general health, safety and welfare of the City.
ARTICLE 111.
EMPLOYEES CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION. The following classi-
fications and salaries are hereby established. It is understood that the

OVERTIME. All personnel shall be paid time and one-half
for all time spent on duty when work is performed on a regularly
scheduled off day. All other overtime shall be paid at the straight
rate of pay.
ARTICLE VI11
SICK PAY. Each employee, commencing with the first month of
service, shall be entitled to one day per month sick leave,
cumulative to 120 days, payment to begin with first day sick.
ARTICLE IX
HOLIDAYS. The following days are designated paid holidays:
January 1
Memorial Day
Labor Day
July 4
Thanksgiving Day
112 day on December 24
Christmas Day
112 Day on Good Friday
ARTICLE X.
CALL IN TIME. If an employee is requested to work at a time
not included in his regular work schedule and not subject to
Article VI1 Overtime, he shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours
regular pay.
ARTICLE XI.
HOLIDAY PAY. If an employee's regular work day falls on a
holiday as defined herein, he shall receive tima dn one-half for all
hours worked.
ARTICLE XI1
VACATIONS. The following vacation schedule shall apply:
One week for one year, such oxe week v:+c.ition to be taken between the
anniversary date and the end 01 the cal.e~idar year. Two weeks vacation
shall be granted for each succeeding calendar year until ten years of
service shall be completed, at whicil time three weeks vacation shall be
granted for succeeding calendar years.
A week shall mean five work days or seven calendar days, which
ever is greater.
ARTICLE XIII.
UNIFORN ALLOWANCE. A unifonn allowance of $30.00 per year
shall be paid to each employee in the month of December. Partial year
payments shall be prorated on months of service.
ARTICLE XIV.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE. In the event an employee may claim a
grievance with respect to the interpretation or application of this con-
tract, he shall first attempt to resolve said grievance with the Associa-
tion. IE the employee is not satisfied with the decision of the Associa-
tion, he may then request a meetin:: with the Nayor and the City Attorney
and an Alderman designated by the Playor. After hearing the employee and
a cormnittee of the Association, they shall decide the grievance.
ARTICLE XV.
NO STRIKE CLAUSE. The Association agrees that nothing in this
agreement or any alleged breach or violation thereof by the City shall
constitute a grant of the right to strike by qmnicipal employee and
further agrees that it will not, during the life of this agreement, assert
said right either directly or indirectly.
ARTICLE Xi'l.
DURATION. This agreement shall be effective as of January 1,
1969, and remain in full force and effect up to and including December 31,
1969. It shall continue in full force thereafter until such time that
either party desires to open, alter, amend or otherwise change this agree-
ment, subject to the provisions of this agreement.

PURSUANT TO A RESOLUTION of the Common Council passed and
