AUTHORIZING THE ENGINEERING STUDY FOR REMOVAL OF
MUCK AND SEDIMENTATION FROM BIG MUSKEG0 LAKE
WHEREAS extensive planning and committee work has been completed by
numerous sportsmen's clubs and the CITIZENS BIG MUSKEG0 LAKE STUDY
COMMITTEE, and
the OPERATION COMEBACK organization which is composed of individuals,
a WHEREAS, a proposal has been presented by Mr. Casey Kendziorski, Jr.
for a study for removal of sedimentation and muck from Big Muskego
Lake, and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of up to $2,000.00 has been authorized
by OPERATION COMEBACK to be presented to the City of Muskego to cover
the costs of work contained in Mr. Kendziorski's proposal and contract,
and
WHEREAS, the study would encompass the following:
1. Confer with the proper state agencies to determine what legal
restrictions will be encountered, and what plans are in progress.
2. Approximate the location of the sediment and muck deposits in
Big Muskego Lake, and to measure these deposits in a few
selected locations.
3. Determine the chemical composition and elements in the muck,
evaluate the material for its value and its possible usefulness
for agricultural, horticultural and other purposes.
4. Determine the best methods a.nd procedures for removing the
deposits.
5. Determine where the removed materials can be properly deposited.
6. Estimate the cost of the project on Big Muskego Lake.
7. Estimate the time required to complete the proposed project.
8. Review the benefits of the proposed project on Big Muskego Lake.
9. Review some of the problems which might be encountered in the e implementation of the Big Muskego Lake project.
10. Recommend the steps to be taken to implement and complete the
project.
11. Present the findings of the study, at a special meeting of the
Common Council of the City of Muskego.
12. Present the findings of this study in published form. Minimum
of 20 copies.
(. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego
does hereby authorize the study for Big Muskego Lake by Mr. Casey
Kendziorski, Jr., cost not to exceed $2,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to use funds for the study that have been
contributed by OPEUTION COMEBACK to cover costs of the studies e as contained in the agreement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council does hereby authorize
the City Clerk and the Mayor to execute the necessary documents in
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS // DAY OF ,Fdk ,1969.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made this 11th day of February , 1969,
by and between CASEY KENDZIORSKI JR. of 3378 S68th Street, Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, hereinafter termed "Contractor" and the City of Muskego
of Waukesha County, Wisconsin.
WITNESSETH: That the contractor in consideration of the agreement
on the part of the organization hereinafter contained does agree to
perfom an "Engineering Study"for the Removal of Sedimentation and
Muck from Big Muskego Lake". The contractor further agrees that the
studies shall include the following steps:

Minimum of 20 copies.
The contractor further agrees to submit a written progress report
six (6) weeks after the effective contract date.
The contractor further agrees to complete the study within
sixteen (16) weeks, after the effective contract date.
The City of Muskego in consideration of the agreement on the
part of the contractor does agree to pay:
(1) Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) initially at the start of
study .
(2) One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) six (6) weeks after the
effective contract date, and upon receipt of said progress
report.
(3) Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) upon the completion of the
study, and upon the receipt of the final report, and pre-
sentation of the findings.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said parties have hereunto set their
hands and seals the day and year first written above.
