EXTENSION OF MOORLAND ROAD
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF MUSKEGO NEEDS A PRINCIPAL NORTH-SOUTH
LOCAL STREET TO PROVIDE AN EFFICIENT AND SAFE CITY TRANS-
PORTATION FACILITY FOR ITS RESIDENTIAL AND INDUSTRIAL AREAS
AND TO ENHANCE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT.
AND WHEREAS, THE EXTENSION OF MOORLAND ROAD IN THE CITY OF
MUSKEGO BETWEEN THE NORTH CITY LIMITS AND STATE TRUNK
HIGHWAY 24, ALONG A LINE IN THE VICINITY OF THE WEST LINE OF
SECTION 2, AND ITS FURTHER EXTENSION IN THE CITY OF NE% BERLIN
BETWEEN THEIR CITY LIMITS AND COUNTY TRUNK HIGHWAY "HI , ALONG
A LINE IN THE VICINITY OF THE WEST LINE OF SECTION 35, WILL
WAUKESHA COUNTY.
AND WHEREAS, MOORLAND ROAD IS CONTEMPLATED TO BE INTERCHANGED
WITH THE NEW STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY 75, IN THE CITY OF NEW BERLIN,
AND INTERCHANGED WITH INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 94, IN THE CITY OF
BROOKFIELD, THEREBY BECOMING A NORTH-SOUTH ROAD OF MAJOR
PROVIDE A MORE INTEGRATED HIGHWAY SYSTEM IN THIS AREA OF
IMPORTANCE.
Now, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED THAT THE EXTENSION OF MOORLAND
ROAD BETWEEN THE SOUTH CITY LIMITS AND THE NORTH CITY LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO, BE ADDED TO THE WAUKESHA COUNTY FEDERAL
AID SECONDARY SYSTEM.
