CCR2010058-Dept COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO RESOLUTION #058-2010 RESOLUTION TO CREATE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION AND APPROVE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR WHEREAS, With the resignation of the employee who held the Clerk-Treasurer position, the Mayor determined that the organizational structure of the Finance Department and Clerk-Treasurer Department should be reviewed; and WHEREAS, The Committee of the Whole reviewed the Mayor’s proposal to combine the functions of the existing Finance and Clerk-Treasurer Departments; and WHEREAS, The Committee of the Whole determined that the creation of a new Department of Finance and Administration would provide more efficiency and better meet the City’s current and future needs; and WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the attached job description for the Director of Finance and Administration position and has recommended approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby eliminate the existing Finance and Clerk-Treasurer Departments and does hereby create the Department of Finance and Administration effective May 26, 2010. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Common Council, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve the job description for the Director of Finance and Administration and eliminates the existing position of Finance Director as of May 26, 2010.
