COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #187-2009
APPROVAL OF SEVERANCE PAY PLAN AND
SEPARATION AGREEMENT AND GENERAL RELEASE
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee discussed severance pay options at the
November 24, 2009 meeting; and
WHEREAS, The Committee recommended a payment of 25 hours per years of service
and three months of health insurance for active full-time employees and prorated for
active part-time employees where their position has been eliminated; and
WHEREAS, The Finance Committee has reviewed the proposed severance package
and has recommended approval subject to each employee executing the “Separation
Agreement and General Release.”
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Common Council of the City of
Muskego, upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve
the severance pay package as outlined on the attached spreadsheet and the attached
“Separation Agreement and General Release.”
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the affected employees will be paid in accordance
with the terms of the “Separation Agreement and General Release” and only upon
execution of the same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Special Revenue Compensated Absences Fund
will be used for payment of the severance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor is authorized to sign the agreement and
release form in the name of the City.
