COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
RESOLUTION #109-2009
APPROVAL OF PURCHASE OF VACTOR
SEWER CLEANING MACHINE
WHEREAS, The approved 2009 Sewer Capital Projects Account includes funds for the
purchase of a new Vactor Sewer Cleaning Machine for the Public Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, The following quotes were received:
Bruce Municipal Equipment $299,015
Standard Equipment $328,600
MacQueen Equipment $335,000
WHEREAS, The quote submitted by Bruce Municipal Equipment includes a trade-in allowance
of $30,000 for the City’s present machine; and
WHEREAS, The Public Utilities Committee and Finance Committee recommended that the
quote submitted by Bruce Municipal Equipment be accepted and that the Public Utilities
Superintendent be allowed to explore alternative trade-in options; and
WHEREAS, The total cost of the equipment will be $299,015 if the $30,000 trade-in allowance
is accepted or $329,015 if a more beneficial trade-in option is obtained.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Common Council of the City of Muskego,
upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, does hereby approve the purchase of a
Vactor Sewer Cleaning Machine from Bruce Municipal Equipment.
