AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 11,
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO
SECTIONS 11.04(l)(a) and (l)(c),
(Garbage and Recycling)
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO, WAUKESHA COUNTY,
WISCONSIN, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 11, Section 11.04(l)(a) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Muskego, Wisconsin, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
(1) Collection and Dumping
(a) Permit Required. No person shall for hire, engage in
the business of collection and/or dumping of garbage,

rubbish or refuse, into or within the City of

Application for such permit shall be made to the City
Clerk or designated agent and the applicant shall pay
to the City Clerk or designated agent at the time of
filing such application a fee, which will be
established periodically by Resolution of the Common
Council, for each vehicle, truck, or semi-trailer for
an annual license to Temporary 30-day license. Any
designated agent shall prepay the City of Muskego for
all permits to be issued by the agent. At time of
copy of the Application for Refuse Permit and Permit
issuance of any permit, the agent shall provide a
No. issued to the City Clerk within 24 hours of
issuance.
(c) What Permit to State. The permit shall be in the
form of an identification decal and shall bear the
permit number, the license number of the vehicle,
truck, or semi-trailer truck and the expiration date
of the permit. The decal shall be placed in the
lower right hand corner of the windshield of each
vehicle or truck. For semi-trailer trucks, the decal
shall be placed on the lower right corner of the
trailer tailgate. All permits/decals shall be
available for inspection by any police officer or any

other public official of the City of Muskego upon
demand.
SECTION 2: The several sections of this ordinance are declared
declared by a decision of a court of competent jurisdiction to be
to be severable. If any section or portion thereof shall be
only to the specific section or portion thereof directly
invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, such decision shall apply
specified in the decision, and not affect the validity of all
other provisions, sections, or portion thereof of the ordinance
which shall remain in full force and effect. Any other ordinance
whose terms are in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance
are hereby repealed as to those terms that conflict.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication.
