AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE CHAPTER 13, SECTION 13.026
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO
REGARDING THE KEEPING OF POTBELLIED PIGS
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO, WISCONSIN, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Code of the City of Muskego, Wisconsin, is hereby created to read
SECTION 1: Chapter 13, Section 13.026 of the Municipal

13.026 POTBELLIED PIGS

Noisy Pigs Prohibited. No person shall keep a
potbellied pig which disturbs the peace and quiet of
the neighborhood.
Animal Control. The appropriate City officers shall
apprehend and confine potbellied pigs in violation
of this Ordinance. The officer may commence action
in the name of the City for the collection of
forfeitures for violation of this Ordinance.
Impounding of Potbellied Pigs. The appropriate
officer shall apprehend and confine in the animal
shelter any potbellied pig found in violation of
this Ordinance.
Disposition of Unclaimed Potbellied Pigs. The
keeper of the animal shelter shall keep all
potbellied pigs apprehended hereunder for 7 days and
time, the potbellied pig may be sold or destroyed in
if any potbellied pig is not claimed within such
a humane manner.
Payment of Costs. The owner of a potbellied pig
an apprehension fee set by the Common Council and an
impounded may reclaim the animal upon the payment of
day that the animal is impounded. In addition

Number of Potbellied Pigs Limited. Not more than 2
