ORD19855207 .a ORDINANCE /I520 AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL AND TRAFFIC CODE IN THE CITY OF MUSKEGO RECREATE SECTION 7.01 OF THE . \ I. regulations adopted by legal authorities be in strict conformity with State laws covering the same offenses; and WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Statutes require that traffic WHEREAS, the Code and LawsITraffic Courts Technical Committee of the Division of Highway Safety Coordination, Office of the Governor, State of Wisconsin, recommends that a uniform set of local traffic ordinances properly codifying State traffic laws be adopted by the local units of governments; and WHEREAS, the City of Muskego is desirous of adopting the State traffic regulations in order to secure uniform state-wide regulation of traffic on the highway, streets, and alleys for the ~ State; and WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Legislature is continually making changes to the Wisconsin Statutes dealing with traffic regulations ; and WHEREAS, it is the express desire of the Common Council of the City of Muskego that their local traffic regulations continually and fully adopt by reference all allowable State traffic regulations and are at all times consistent with State law immediately upon their adoption by the Wisconsin State Legislature without further action by the Common Council of the City of Muskego. State of Wisconsin DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: The Common Council of the City of Muskego, Waukesha County, SECTION 1: Section 7.01 of the Municipal Code of the City of Muskego entitled STATE TRAFFIC LAWS ADOPTED for the City of Muskego is hereby repealed. SECTION 2: An Ordinance entitled 7.01, STATE TRAFFIC LAWS ADOPTED is hereby created for the Municipal Code of the City of Muskego to read as follows: 7.01 STATE TRAFFIC LAWS ADOPTED. Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Code, the current and future statutory provisions of Chapter 340 to 348, Wisconsin Statutes, describing and defining regulations with respect to vehicles and traffic, penalties to be imposed and exclusive of any exclusive of any provisions therein relating to regulations for which the statutory penalty is a term part of this Coae as if fully set gorth herein. Any of imprisonment are ado ted and b reference made a 1 act required to be performed or prohibited by any current or future statute incorporated herein by reference is required or prohibited by this Section. Any future additions, amendments, revisions or modifications of the current or future statutes incorporated herein are intended to be made part of this Code in order to secure uniform statewide regulation of traffic on the highways, streets and alleys of the State. SECTION 3: The several sections of this ordinance are declared to be severable. If any section or portion thereof jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, such shall be declared by a decision of a court of competent decision shall apply only to the specific section or portion thereof directly specified in the decision, and not affect the validity of all other provisions, sections, or portions thereof of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect. Any other ordinances whose terms are in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed as to those terms that conflict.
