AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 1 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE BY ADDING SECTION 1.12
(Re: Gifts & Gratuities)
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO, WISCONSIN,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Ch. :L of the Municipal Code of the City of
Muskego is hereby amended by adding Section 1.12, Gifts and
Gratuities.
Section 1.12 Gif.ts and Gratuities
(1) It shall be unlawful for any public employe or public
official to rece:ive or offer to receive, either directly
or indirectly, any gift, gratuity, or anything of value
which he is not authorized to receive from any person, if
such person:
(a) Has or is seeking to obtain contractural or other
business or financial relationships with such public
employe's employer or the governmental body of the
public official; or
(b) Conducts operations or activities which are regulated
by such public employe's employer or the governmental
body of a p.ablic official; or
(c) Has interests which may be substantially affected by
such public employe's employer or the governmental
body of the public official.
(2) The receipt of any gift, gratuity, or anything of value
as denoted above is contrary to the public policy of the
City of Muskego
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances incon-
sistent with or contravening this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
