ORD1966041ORDINANCE #41, AS AMENDED AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AN ORDINANCE REGULATING SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS IN THE CITY OF MUSKEGO, WAUKESHA COUNTY, ~~~~ ~ WISCONSIN County, Wisconsin, do ordair; as follows: The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Muskego, Waukesha billboards is hereby amended. by adding Section 4.10 as follows: SECTION I. Section 4 csf the ordinance regulating signs and 4.10 Political Sign: Notwithstanding any other provision of this ordinance, temporary political signs may be erected in any district without: a permit provided they are not a with the permission of the property owner. Provided, no danger to life or property, and are located on property such sign shall be placed within the limits of any street or highway. Highway limits include all the dedicated rlght- of-way, encompassing the travelling portion of the highway, the shoulders, the ditches, and adjacent dedicated areas. The prohibition hereunder extends to trees, utility poles, fence posts, stakes, an.d all other structures on which signs might be posted or placed except political signs installed or placed on motor vehicles. Failure to comply with the provisions of this section shall be a violation ordinance. Any sign violating this section shall be summar- of Sec. 86.19 of the Wisconsin Statutes as well as this ily removed by the Board of Public Works. All political signs, wherever located., must be removed within ten (10) days after the election. for which it was erected. with or contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 11. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent SECTION 111. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage, 2osting and publication.
