ORD20101338-Chapter24 COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO ORDINANCE #1338 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 24, SECTION 24.04, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO (Snowmobile Regulations - Designated Highways) THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGO, WISCONSIN DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Chapter 24, Section 24.04, of the Municipal Code of the City of Muskego is hereby amended to read as follows: 24.04 DESIGNATED HIGHWAYS a. The operation of a snowmobile is permitted on state, county and federal highways within the city, pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 350.02, except the following, where operation is not permitted: Moorland Road (CTH O): Janesville Road (CTH L) north to College Avenue (CTH HH) Janesville Road (CTH L): East city limits west to Lincoln Drive Racine Avenue (CTH Y): From Hillendale Drive south to Richdorf Drive College Avenue (CTH HH): Entire length b. The operation of snowmobiles for residential access only pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 350.02(a)(6) is permitted on the shoulder or extreme right-hand edge of the city-owned highways where the posted speed limit is greater than 25mph, except the following, where operation is not permitted: Woods Road: Entire length Pioneer Drive: Entire length Lannon Drive: Entire length Tess Corners Drive: Entire length c. The operation of snowmobiles for residential access pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 350.02(a)(6) is permitted only on the extreme right-hand edge of the roadway on city-owned residential highways where the speed limit is 25mph or less, except the following, where operation is not permitted: All residential city-owned highways located north of Woods Road and east of Lannon Drive (W17200), where the speed limit is 25mph or less. Ord. #1338 Page 2 SECTION 2: The several sections of this Ordinance are declared to be severable. If any section or portion thereof shall be declared by a decision of a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, such decision shall apply only to the specific section or portion thereof directly specified in the decision, and not affect the validity of all other provisions, sections, or portion thereof of the Ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect. Any other Ordinance whose terms are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance is hereby repealed as to those terms that conflict.
