PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL Roll call was taken with Commissioners Kuwitzky, Mooney, Glazier, and Kuspa present. Chief Rens was in attendance and Commissioner Whittow was excused. STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE The meeting was posted 07/17/18. APPROVAL OF AGENDA ITEMS APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Mooney made a motion to approve the minutes from the April 19, 2018 meeting. Commissioner Kuspa seconded. All in favor. Minutes from April 19, 2018 PUBLIC APPEARANCE REPORT FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT Chief Rens advised the transport van is very close to being done. He advised there have been quite a few times in the last three months that we have called New Berlin to use their van, so we are eagerly awaiting ours to be put into service. Chief Rens advised that the IT server room was moved over to city hall with the new building now being done. He advised there were some glitches with NCIC/DOT, however they have been rectified and all is in order. The body cameras have been delayed as the IT department has been extremely busy with the move. Natalie Johnston took her position as Detective as of June 4th. Dylan Lange took his position as SRO as of July 1st. David Robinson is off FTO and doing well.Page 1 of 2 Minutes from 07/19/18 Packet Page 1 Chelsea Shockley is on FTO and doing well and Daniel Gaenslen is on military leave and will start FTO when he returns in September. The construction of the new police department has started. The 911 lines have been moved and there is a temporary line under the parking lot until we move to the new building, for an easy switch over. The 3rd of July fireworks at Idle Isle went smooth and many people complimented on how it was a nice "family atmosphere." The new boat is out on the water and the officers are enjoying it. Commissioner Glazier commented on how nice it was to see that it has enough speed to catch up to wave runners who are not following the SNW rules.
