Unapproved CITY OF MUSKEGO BIG MUSKEGO LAKE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MINUTES June 28, 2016 6:45 PM Muskego City Hall, W182 S8200 Racine Avenue CALL TO ORDER Chairman Chiaverotti called the meeting to order at 6:19 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Commissioners Wolfe, Hammel, Kapusta, Engelhardt and Madden. Commissioners Borgman and Kubacki were absent. Also present: Finance and Administration Director Mueller. STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE Ms. Mueller stated the meeting was properly noticed. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETING - March 22, 2016 Commissioner Madden made a motion to approve. Commissioner Wolfe seconded; motion carried. VOUCHER APPROVAL Vouchers for Marine Biochemists for Weed Treatments Commissioner Madden made a motion to approve two vouchers for weed treatments that total $7,392.00. Commissioner Hammel seconded; motion carried. NEW BUSINESS Deputy Commissioners' Update - Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant Growth, Fish and Wildlife There was no update presented as none of the Deputy Commissioners were in attendance. Status of Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area - Land Acquisition by DNR Nothing new to report. Discussion and Recommendation to Raise the $1,000 Threshold for the Payment of Vouchers to $10,000 for Budget Approved Items Mayor Chiaverotti stated she would like the Commissioners to consider increasing the $1,000 threshold to $10,000 for budget approved items. The By-Laws would have to be amended at the Annual Meeting. Commissioner Engelhardt made a motion to recommend approval. Commissioner Hammel seconded; motion carried. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Madden made a motion to adjourn at 7:21 p.m. Commissioner Wolfe seconded; motion carried. Minutes transcribed by Jill Blenski Unapproved CITY OF MUSKEGO BIG MUSKEGO LAKE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MINUTES July 26, 2016 6:45 PM Muskego City Hall, W182 S8200 Racine Avenue CALL TO ORDER Chairman Chiaverotti called the special meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Commissioners Wolfe, Borgman, Kapusta, Engelhardt, Kubacki and Madden. Commissioner Hammel was absent. Also present: Deputy Clerk Blenski. STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE The Deputy Clerk stated the meeting was properly noticed. NEW BUSINESS Board of Commissioners’ Approval to Substitute a Class 2 Notice in Lieu of Sending Written Notice for the Annual Meeting and Budget Hearing Chairman Chiaverotti presented several reasons to publish the notice twice vs. one publication and a mailing. This year the Clerk’s Office is managing the August election. The cost to the Lake District will be significantly less. A post card will be mailed to all BML District residents notifying them of the change as well as providing the options to receive the notice electronically or the ability to view it on the City’s website. Commissioner Madden moved to approve. Commissioner Wolfe seconded; motion carried. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Madden made a motion to adjourn at 7:12 p.m. Commissioner Kubacki seconded; motion carried.
