Discuss Automated Refuse Carts Director Simpson gave an update regarding the roll out of the new refuse carts. He asked the Committee if there was interest in allowing residents the option of a smaller cart. Consensus: Director Simpson will order 150% of the number on the list as of Friday, April 15, 2016. This number does not include condos because Advanced Disposal will swap these for free. We will give other residents a 45 day window from the date that the smaller carts are delivered to request a smaller cart at no cost. Once the 45 days are up residents will have to pay a fee to swap carts. Alderman Wolfe requested at the next COW meeting that the City's zoning ordinance be reviewed as to what can be put in front yards.
