Deputy Commissioners' Update - Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant
Growth, Fish and Wildlife and Status of Big Muskego Lake Wildlife Area - Land
Acquisition by DNR
Deputy Commissioner Kies stated the lake situation is as expected for the time of year. A
large percentage (probably 60% to 70%) of the ice is gone. The migrating birds are on the
water. There are no issues with water levels or weeds right now.
There is nothing new to report on the land acquisition. There is a land acquisition in process.
It is anticipated that it will not be affected by the DNR's land acquisition moratorium.
Mr. Zagar is planning another summer outing for any Council members that are interested in
touring the lake.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Kubacki made a motion to adjourn at 6:49 p.m. Commissioner
Engelhardt seconded. Motion Passed 7 in favor.
