NEW BUSINESS
50th Anniversary
Mayor Chiaverotti introduced 50th Anniversary Task Force members Tracy DeAngelis and
Tina Schaefer. Tracy gave an update on the 50th anniversary activities. Social media is being
used to disseminate information.
There will be a pancake breakfast on November 9, 2014 to culminate the yearlong celebration
of the City’s 50th anniversary at a site to be determined. The Task Force is encouraging the
elected officials to help serve at the breakfast.
One suggestion was that the former Mayors serve as grand marshals at the August 24
community parade. Vintage cars could be used or the Mayor suggested a professional float.
She used one in the past and it worked out very well. The money earned from the auction of
the Adirondack chairs would cover the cost. The consensus of the committee was that the
Mayor should obtain the actual cost for the float.
The Committee thanked the Task Force for all of the work being done.
