NEW BUSINESS
Deputy Commissioner’s Update - Current Condition of Lake/Bay, Water Levels, Plant
Growth, Fish and Wildlife
Mr. Zagar reported the following:
There was significant snow cover this year; however, the lake shows no evidence of a
winter kill. The fishery should be fine. The DNR will be setting nets to survey the fish
population once there is open water, which should be soon.
The eagles have been back for a month. They are sitting on eggs. Unfortunately, the
camera is not transmitting feed.
Ducks will be abundant once the water opens up.
The osprey should arrive in the near future.
The District is bracing for a possible bad Eurasian Milfoil year.
Approval of Agreement with Marine Biochemists to Conduct Aquatic Plant Control
Services and Authorize Execution of Same
Commissioner Kubacki moved to approve. Commissioner Madden seconded; motion
carried.
